Bon Iver are headlining. FAK appear to be around number 3 on the bill at the moment.

First Aid Kit begin the European leg of their Rebel Hearts tour in Paris on 26th November.

They will be supported by Bon Air, for the Paris show only, and by Isaac Gracie for the remaining dates (the Staves are unable to appear, as was originally advertised).

The tour dates are as follows:

  • NOV 27 – De Roma, Antwerp, Belgium
  • NOV 29 – TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht, Netherlands
  • NOV 30 – Kulturzentrum Schlachthof, Wiesbaden, Germany
  • DEC 01 – Cafe Muffathalle, Munich, Germany
  • DEC 03 – Les Docks, Lausanne, Switzerland
  • DEC 04 – Stereolux, Nantes, France
  • DEC 05 – L’Aéronef Lille, France

Tickets still appear to be available for all dates, but please check with your ticket agent or the venue.

Here are some videos of First Aid Kit ‘busking’ in various public locations. They sound pretty amazing with just vocals and an acoustic guitar!

In the first video, they’re performing ‘My Silver Lining’ at London’s Southbank next to the River Thames. People are walking past. Some stop to look, while others seem oblivious of what they’re witnessing! The performance, from 2014, was part of the Latitude in the City festival.

 

In the next clip, they perform an acoustic version of ‘It’s a Shame’ in what looks like a fairly upmarket shopping mall in Paris. The video was shot for 3eme Gauche.   (more…)

First Aid Kit ended their UK/Ireland Rebel Hearts tour in Leeds last night. From what’s been reported, and what I’ve seen myself, it’s been a huge success.

For over ten years these two sisters have been establishing a place for themselves in the worlds of folk, country and ‘indie’ pop music. Within these circles, they’ve built an ever-growing following, but they’ve largely been ignored by the public at large. Although it’s still too early to tell for certain, this tour appears to mark a shift towards something much bigger. (more…)
