First Aid Kit played their first live show of 2019 on New Year’s Day at Byron Bay, NSW, Australia … and it looked like a good one! Matthew Marsland was there to document the event on Instagram.

First Aid Kit wrote their very own New Year song called ‘New Year’s Eve’ and here’s an acoustic version of it.

Those of you lucky enough to be attending the Falls Festival in Marion Bay on New Year’s Eve can see First Aid Kit live and may well hear them play this song. Even if they don’t perform this particular song I’m sure they’ll have something special lined up!

First Aid Kit have arrived in Melbourne, Australia in preparation for their Falls Festival ‘mini tour’. They will be playing the following sites:

  • 29th December – Lorne, Victoria
  • 31st December – Marion Bay, Tasmania
  • 1st January – Byron Bay, NSW
  • 6th January – Fremantle, WA

See the ‘Tour’ section for details of times and stages.

First Aid Kit took part in the Falls Festival back in 2012 when they performed a cover of the ABBA song ‘Chiquitita’. ABBA, who are also from Sweden, have been tremendously popular in Australia since their famous visit in 1977. Will First Aid Kit perform an ABBA song this time?

Here’s First Aid Kit and friends in 2015 performing my favourite Christmas song, ‘Fairytale of New York’ by the Pogues. You’ll notice Klara and Johanna really getting into the spirit of the song!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from First Aid Kit Fan!
