Here’s the complete setlist from last night’s show at Helsinki Ice Hall. The real surprise here is ‘Tiger Mountain Peasant Song’ which, to my knowledge, First Aid Kit haven’t performed live for several years. ‘Shattered & Hollow’ is also one that hasn’t been performed live lately. FAK had already hinted that they might play ‘Ghost Town’ and ‘When I Grow Up’. The other songs were all performed during the previous tour.
First Aid Kit have a new poster for their Scandinavian tour which begins tonight in Helsinki!

Here’s a worthwhile Swedish interview with First Aid Kit. They talk about how a lot of people still see them as two little girls that you don’t need to take seriously. They discuss Klara’s breakdown before the recording of ‘Stay Gold’ and the relentless pressures from everyone who makes money from them.
On the brighter side, they talk about being in a happier place at the moment. They even mention having written a ‘happy’ new song about looking positively at yourself – though don’t expect this to be released anytime soon as it’s still unfinished.
A rumour is circulating about the possible release of a live DVD by First Aid Kit. Speculation relates to the show at the Brixton Academy in London on 31st October which, it’s claimed, was filmed for future release on DVD. The rumour appears to be partly based on notices about the recording that were seen in the venue at the time.
First Aid Kit have hinted that they will be playing ‘Ghost Town’ on their forthcoming Scandinavian tour. A short clip posted on their Instagram Stories suggests they may perform the song, possibly together with Sarah Klang who is supporting them.
FAK have already strongly hinted they are going to be playing ‘When I Grow Up’ by Fever Ray along with a few more of their older ‘covers’.
The short tour begins in Helsinki, Finland on Thursday 24th January.
Before the Brits there’s a small matter of the Swedish Radio P3 Guld Awards. First Aid Kit have been nominated for Best Group and the awards ceremony takes place this Saturday 19th January at 21.00 Swedish time (20.00 UK time).
The ceremony is being broadcast live on Swedish Radio and TV.
Klara and Johanna were interviewed on Swedish TV programme Nyhetsmorgon. They discussed the pressures of touring and how they played 120 live shows in 2018. They admitted that they were still not very good at saying no but indicated that this year would be a lot ‘calmer’. When asked about plans for future records they said they had actually done some planning and mentioned that they now even have their own office. They said they were tired of playing sad songs every night and that hopefully, their new material would be more positive. When asked about their nomination for the Brit Awards they answered that they’d rather not think about it too much but that it was a fun thing to experience. They admitted to being very nervous about their forthcoming shows at Stockholm Globe and Malmo Arena. They grew up next to the Globe and it felt very weird to actually be playing there.
First Aid Kit are set to bring back a number of their old cover versions for their forthcoming Scandinavian ‘arena’ shows. According to their latest Instagram Story, they’ve been busy rehearsing the songs which, they’ve hinted, will include ‘When I Grow Up’ by Fever Ray. Fever Ray was, of course, instrumental in releasing FAK’s debut EP. It’s not clear whether they will also bring back some of their older original material or stick to the songs they’ve been performing on their Rebel Hearts tour.
