Musikhjälpen (Music Aid) have announced their 2019 lineup which includes First Aid Kit who will appear on 11th December. The appearance is being broadcast live on Swedish Radio and TV (P3 & SVT Play).

First Aid Kit have just announced their first live concerts since cancelling their summer tour due to ‘medical circumstances’. They will be playing two special shows with Amanda Bergman and Maja Francis at Södra Teaterns in Stockholm on 17th and 18th December. Some footage of Lolita Pop at the Live at Heart Festival, in Orebro, Sweden last night. As you may know, this is the band which features Klara and Johanna’s father, Benkt Söderberg (seen playing guitar on the far right in some shots).
After having to cancel their summer tour, First Aid Kit are back with a new single which features a brand new original song and a new cover version.
The song ‘Strange Beauty’ was written as a reaction to the recent untimely death of the singer/poet David Berman (best known for his work with indie-rock band ‘Silver Jews’). The duo have also recorded a cover of Silver Jews’s song ‘Random Rules’. Both songs were recorded with just vocals and guitar.

Klara has been asking about places to visit in New York next week … could this be hinting at a forthcoming performance … perhaps even a TV show appearance?? Who knows?
Johanna Söderberg made a surprise appearance on the karaoke stage at the Way Out West music festival in Gothenburg last night. Together with a friend, she performed the Lada Gaga/Bradley Cooper song ‘Shallow’. First Aid Kit had been due to play the festival but had been forced to pull out due to unforseen medical circumstances.
Lolita Pop, the band featuring Klara and Johanna’s father, Benkt Söderberg, will be playing a short tour in Sweden this autumn.
